In hope of providing some relief during these difficult times, we are launching The Drive-In at Alexandra Palace: a vehicle escape through the power of film, while still adhering to and respecting the current safety recommendations.
Key elements of The Drive-In:
SAFETY: The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff are our number one priority — which is why our services will be contact-free, including online ordering and food and drink delivery straight to vehicles. Sanitation solutions will be available on-site and team members will wear face visors and routinely change gloves. There will be constant cleaning of highly touched areas and vehicles will be parked at least 2 metres apart.
We kindly ask that you watch the movie from within your vehicles. If you exit the vehicle for any reason, you are encouraged to wear face masks and practice social distancing at all times. Bathrooms are available at the rear of the car park but we encourage you to use the bathroom before leaving home so we can ensure our bathrooms can be regularly sanitised and available to those who need them. The Drive In Film Club experience is cashless, so please be prepared with your credit/debit card or other online payment option if you plan to order food or drink.
TICKET INFO: We offer two types of tickets, depending on the screening you are attending. You can purchase tickets online using your credit or debit card. Please be advised that all our venues are cash-free.
TICKET TERMS: All ticket purchases are final and tickets are non-refundable. If you can't attend an event, you can transfer your ticket to an alternative screening up until the event begins. Go to https://rooftopfilmclub.com/account/ and sign up using the same email address you used when you purchased your tickets. You can transfer your tickets by navigating to your ACCOUNT section and to the YOUR RECENT ORDERS section. Click TRANSFER, select the reason, and click FIND NEW EVENT. You’ll be redirected to our website where you can choose the film you’d like to see. Your transfer credit will be automatically added to your basket. For the time being, we have waived all transfer fees for our Drive-In venues.
Your ticket may be donated to another user (that owns the same type of vehicle) without charge and without changes made to the ticket. The ticket is not bound to you by name and can be used freely by any person you choose. "
AGE RESTRICTIONS: All ages are welcome to our Drive-In, however, we encourage you to check the rating of the film you are purchasing tickets for. Please ensure your party brings suitable ID to avoid disappointment.
CHECK-IN: When arriving, guests must have either their e-ticket or printed ticket immediately available at the passenger-side window for parking marshals to check to help avoid congestion around the palace. Our team members will greet you at the entrance of the venue and scan your ticket. In an effort to eliminate all contact, we’ll put a flyer under your windshield wiper with essential guest information. To help us keep our neighbours and the environment happy, please remember to turn off your engine during the film unless absolutely necessary.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: A selection of alcoholic beverages will be available at the Drive In Film Club bar. Please note we operate a challenge 25 policy. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked for ID upon delivery of an order containing alcohol. If you are unable to provide valid ID, you will be refused the beverage. Please drink responsibly and abide by UK drinking laws.
BATHROOMS: Portable restrooms are located at the back of the Alexandra Palace car park and will be regularly sanitised. We ask that you follow the social distancing guidelines in place at the site.
WEATHER POLICY: Because this is an outdoor event, we reserve the right to cancel due to inclement weather. In the event of cancellation, you will receive an email on the date of the event with instructions on how to transfer your ticket to another screening and other options.
PET POLICY: Yes, you can bring your pet as long as they stay in your car during the entire event.
CAR SIZE RESTRICTIONS: Cars, SUVs and 4x4s ONLY. No trucks, vans or mini-buses, sorry!
TECHNICAL ISSUES/EMERGENCIES: In case of a technical issue on site (sound issues, car issues etc.) please turn on your hazard lights. Our team will come to your car and assist you. Please refrain from honking to attract attention. We have some radios on hand to provide to guests in the case of radio faults, but these are very limited and subject to availability.
